About MyCarts

MyCarts (mycartsonline.com) is a Nigeria-based online marketplace startup making everyday shopping simple and reliable. We help people shop for groceries and essentials from local stores online — browse nearby shops, add items to one cart, and choose delivery or pickup at checkout. For local merchants, MyCarts provides an easy way to reach online customers without building their own e-commerce sites.

Problem we solve

Urban shoppers in Lagos face stock uncertainty, price opacity and long queues; local stores lack the tools and courier network to sell online reliably and profitably.

Our solution

To make shopping faster, more transparent, and more rewarding for both shoppers and stores in Nigeria through our services

Consumer app & web:

real-time store catalogs, delivery/pickup windows, promos, and cashbacks.

Merchant tools:

onboarding, catalog/pricing, order management, payouts.

Rider network (coming soon)

for last-mile fulfillment, in addition to store pickups.

Target audience

Busy households and professionals in Lagos (initial focus: Isolo + adjacent neighborhoods), plus neighborhood supermarkets/minimarts and specialty shops that want incremental online sales without the overhead of running their own e-commerce + delivery operations.

Business model

Take-rate per order (commission), delivery fees, and ad placements/featured listings for merchants; cashback funded via marketing budgets and take-rate.

We're a small but passionate team building the simplest way to shop from local stores online. Our goal is to make everyday shopping in Nigeria faster, fairer, and more rewarding for everyone.

Solomon leads product and operations at MyCarts. He’s passionate about simplifying online shopping and helping local stores succeed online. He has garnered experience working in Logistics, Retail and Finance sector

Rebekah Olukayode — Operations & Merchant Success Lead

Supports merchant onboarding and daily operations as the company grows. She has experience working as a Marketing Analyst across diverse organization.

Emmanuel Ugoh — Frontend Lead

Built production apps in React, React Native/Next.js, expertise in building platforms with an optimal user interface and user experience (UI/UX).
